ABOUT THE PLAY

An Iliad is a one-person retelling of on of mankind’s most epic tales that embodies our most powerful human pastime: story telling. The story teller not only brings each character to life, but they ask the audience to join in an emotional journey through time.  The tall tale is filled with Gods, Muses and Mythic creatures. The creative team took it upon themselves to carefully craft each moment in order to guide the audience through Ancient Greece, while acknowledging today’s need to continue to tell stories.

THE DESIGN PROCESS

My goal with the sound design was to seamlessly transition from place to place in our tale.  Relying on the words of the Poet and subtle atmospheric sounds I was able to create context for various locations and events. These ambiences brought to life the experience the Poet described on stage.
